DF#38 Couples (16th April)

This Thursday’s Dice Fight is a little bit special, as it’s our very first Dice School – an especially relaxed event, during which new players are even more welcome than usual.

If you’re still learning how to play, you can bring any team you like – don’t worry about the theme. More experienced players should prepare ‘couples’ teams – 4 romantic couples with a free choice of basic actions. I will pair the more established players with people who are new to the game, or new to online play, and the old hands will show the new folk the ropes. And if we don’t get so many newcomers, we’ll just fall back to a nice chilled ‘green‘ event.

Check out the main Dice Fight page for sign-up instructions and general details about proxies, or read on for this week’s Team Building rules and submission form (you can also submit directly in Discord).

Team Building Rules

  1. You team should consist of 4 romantic couples. If you need a bit of inspiration, there are some links below to get you started.
  2. If you are still learning how to play, you may bring any team you like.
  3. You have a free choice of BACs.
  4. This is a Golden event – you have the full card pool at your disposal.
  5. This is very much a Green event in terms of competitive level (see Ban List for more details).

Ban List

The is the greenest of ‘Green’ events in terms of competitive level – the aim here is to make sure your partner has fun, and, if they’re new to the game/online play, to help them get better and/or feel more comfortable.

The main point this week is not to win, but rather to spread the love and grow the online community. ‘Winning’ would be introducing a new player to the scene, or bringing an old one back, or getting an established player online for the first time.

Take this event as an opportunity to play cards you’ve never played, maybe include some good teaching tools, in case we get any properly new players. Maybe have a couple of different strategies you could use, depending on the level of your opponent and their team.

I am not going to make a ban list – just remember the point, and don’t bring anything which even remotely resembles filth.
